Wir freuen uns im Rahmen der Munich Jewellery Week vom 12. bis 16. März die Schmuckausstellung Silver Paths of the Camino der Künstlerin Kinga Haudek zeigen zu können.
Kinga Haudek lädt den Betrachter zu einer imaginären Reise durch die markanten Landschaften ihrer Wahlheimat ein, der letzten Etappe des Jakobsweges – Galicien – ein. Diese Region, geprägt von einem einzigartigen ozeanischen Klima, zeichnet sich durch ihr zerklüftetes Gelände, stets feuchte und raue Steine sowie von Vegetation überwachsene Gebäude aus. Diese Etappe des Jakobsweges ist für ihre Schwierigkeit bekannt, wobei jedes Element der Landschaft von einer geheimnisvollen Aura erfüllt ist.  
Seit 2015 arbeitet Kinga Haudek in ihrer eigenen Silberschmiedewerkstatt und fertigt einzigartige, handgefertigte Silberdesigns unter Verwendung alter, traditioneller Techniken. Sie besitzt die offizielle Zertifizierung des galicischen Handwerks. Derzeit befindet sich ihr Studio im Herzen von Santiago, am Endabschnitt des Jakobsweges.

Tief inspiriert von ihrem gewählten Heimatland, ist ihre Arbeit durch die natürliche Umgebung Galiciens geprägt: die üppige Vegetation, die glänzenden Kopfsteinpflasterstraßen, der unaufhörliche Regen und die mit Moos bewachsenen Steinbauten. Dementsprechend zeichnen sich viele ihrer Werke durch organische Formen, strukturierte Oberflächen und ein antikes Finish aus, das abstrakt und intim die Landschaft des Jakobsweges widerspiegelt. Leidenschaftlich bemüht, einzigartige Texturen und Volumen zu erschaffen, widmet sie sich der stetigen Suche nach neuen Wegen, originelle Stücke zu kreieren.

Silver Paths of the Camino 

Jedes Stück der Kollektion ist von der Künstlerin handgefertigt und spiegelt mit seinen rauen Texturen und kontrastierenden Oberflächen, sowohl Stärke als auch Zerbrechlichkeit. Die Schmuckstücke verleihen ihrem Träger eine natürliche, zurückhaltende Eleganz. Silver Paths of the Camino bietet ein tiefgehendes Eintauchen in die Schnittstelle von Kunst, Natur und persönlicher Reflexion. Es ist ein Beleg dafür, wie künstlerischer Schmuck sowohl das Greifbare als auch das Unfassbare in einem einzigen Ausdruck vereinen kann. 

Zur Künstlerin

Kinga Haudek ist eine in Santiago de Compostela ansässige Schmuckkünstlerin ungarischer Herkunft. Nach ihrem Abschluss in Soziologie in Budapest zog sie in die Kulturhauptstadt Galiciens, Spanien, um neue Erfahrungen zu sammeln und kreative Inspiration zu finden. Sie absolvierte eine Ausbildung zur professionellen Silberschmiedin an der Mestre Mateo School of Art and Design, wo sie von lokalen Meistern lernte. Kinga Haudek is a Santiago de Compostela-based jewelry artist of Hungarian origin. After graduating in Sociology in Budapest, she relocated to the cultural capital of Galicia, Spain, in search of new experiences and creative inspiration. She trained as a professional silversmith at the Mestre Mateo School of Art and Design, where she learned from local masters. Since 2015, she has worked from her own silversmith workshop, crafting unique, handmade silver designs using ancient, traditional techniques. She holds the official certification of Galician Craftsmanship. Currently, her studio is located in the heart of Santiago, on the final stretch of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage. Deeply inspired by her chosen homeland, her work is infused with the natural surroundings of Galicia: its abundant vegetation, the gleaming cobblestone streets, the ceaseless rain, and the stone structures overgrown with moss. Consequently, many of her pieces feature organic forms, textured surfaces and an antique finish that abstractly and intimately reflect the landscape of the Camino. Her designs invite the viewer on an imaginary pilgrimage, not only through the Galician environment but also into the depths of personal identity. Passionate about creating one-of-a-kind textures and volumes, she is dedicated to constantly exploring new ways to make original pieces with her beloved hammers and chisels. 

About the expo: 

The exhibition Silver Paths of the Camino invites the viewer on an imaginary journey through the distinctive landscapes of the final stage of the Camino de Santiago: Galicia. This region, shaped by a unique oceanic climate, is characterized by its rugged terrain, ever-wet and rough stones, and buildings overgrown with vegetation. This stage of the Camino is renowned for its difficulty, with every element of the landscape imbued with mystery.
 The collection evokes these landscapes through silver designs that capture the irregular shapes of the stones, the gleaming surfaces after the rain, and the organic forms of the surrounding nature. The exhibition seeks also to convey the metaphysical essence of the pilgrimage: the paths of self-discovery and spiritual awakening that unfolds in communion with the natural elements.
 Each piece in the collection, with its rough textures and contrasting finishes, reflects both strength and fragility, embodying the duality of nature. They bestow upon their wearer a natural, understated elegance. The exhibition highlights how the ruggedness of the journey intersects with the delicate, transformative experience that it engenders. All of the pieces are handcrafted by the artist, who imbues each creation with a distinctive, personal touch and pretends to capture the very essence of a place and its spirituality. Silver Paths of the Camino offers a profound immersion in the intersection of art, nature, and personal reflection. It is a testament to how artistic jewelry can encapsulate both the tangible and the intangible in a single expression.
